"Roots- Lands End" delves into my personal paradox of being and (dis)connection to Country. In the vast world, I am both at home everywhere and nowhere. It also speaks to my autonomous nature and identity as a traveler. The immense release of pressure that accompanies travel—especially the joy of being in Europe will be forever etched into me.
In much the same way, I am a unique intersection of cultural identity. Neither English, Australian or Italian, I am me. A passionate, creative, cultured, and endlessly curious soul who thrives in new environments and possesses an insatiable appetite for learning and exploration.
This depiction of "Lands End," a significant point on the map, it marks the edge of the UK and my childhood country, I have now left. It is a place of profound connection—a link to Cornwall, of my grandmother's beginnings, and a corner of the world often unspoken and shunned within my family. The windy, cold, and impressive cliff line, stands as a raw and honest testament to my history—one of the places where the roots of my existence find their anchor.
